Peregrine Corporation Head Office

The refurbishment of the Peregrine Head Office sought to provide a space with improved amenity and circulation for staff with a focus on creating a strong connection between building, productivity and well-being.

The design focuses on creating a strong connection between buildings and health, productivity and well-being; maximising natural light and using biophilic elements to create a healthy building. The palette uses materials and elements from nature throughout. These pieces reflect the local ecology and geology to create a distinct sense of place.

Buchan provided architectural and interior design services, from concept to completion. The scope of works included updating the existing SSO building to provide improved amenity and space for staff, undertaking a complete de-fit of the existing space back to a bare shell and then completely rebuilding a contemporary workplace.

Architect and project lead Harriet O'Reilly says introducing skylights in the saw tooth roof of the warehouse has allowed natural light to flood the once-dark space, supporting the client’s desire to incorporate biophilic design principles and enhance staff well-being.
